The story of my life with Cancer......coming soon to a theater near you......KIDDING...coming soon to Mommas Soabpox...

I've been asked by several people in the past to share my story about being diagnosed with cancer.

How I found out, what treatment I had, how I handled it, etc....

It has been on my heart lately more than ever and after an email this morning I think I'm ready to share.... in some weird way I think I need to share.....

I want to have my story on paper for my children to have. I want to comfort even one person who is going through the same thing.....

I don't intend to provide medical information or medical advise to others. I am not a doctor (though I wouldn't mind the paycheck of one) I am a survivor.

I simply want to share "MY STORY".......

Share how being a mother to four children, running a family business with your husband, your only sister getting ready to give birth to her first child anyday and then finding out that you have a rare and agressive cancer has effected me and how I live my life.

How family and friends stepped in and helped in my time of need. How my Hunk proved to me over and over during this journey that he meant for better or worse when we said our vows. Yes, even when I was bald.

I plan to share a story that is very very personal and is very real to me. A story that has changed me forever.

I never knew it was possible to feel so terrible and live to tell about it. On the other hand......The tree's have never looked more beautiful, the sky never looked so blue and my family and friends have never seemed more important and cherished.

I'm changed forever..... and it's not all been bad....... I'm survivor!.....

Ciao Bellas~

  10. Oh great! Thank you Meghan. I'm glad you found it. It is something that is very important to me. Sometimes easy to write about sometimes more difficult. The one thing it always is is honest. My hope is that it touches and/or helps one person who is going through cancer or knows someone who is.

    So glad you are reading......
