MY RUGRAT TOOK 1ST PLACE!!!

FIRST PLACE GOES TO MOMMA'S RUGRAT!!!

My Rugrat 16 year old son had their first wrestling tournament of the year. He was so excited and couldn't wait to get there. He had JUST finished wrestling his last match when this photo was taken. He is still in his singlet...You can see he is exhausted, his busted lip and he also has a scratch on his nose.

He's been practicing sooooooooo much. He practiced two days a week over the summer and then once season started he has been practicing 5 to 6 days a week.

Last year was his first year of wrestling so he wanted to work hard on getting better. He succeeded!

I'm so proud of him. I'm proud of him for taking first place at the tournament but I'm really proud of him for all the hard work and dedication he has shown to reach this goal!

I missed this tournament but Hunk called me and told me that he placed first. I picked up the phone to call my parents........ I was telling my girl rugrats that their brother placed first and I wanted to surprise him with cake and ice cream so I was calling Grandma and Grandpa to come over......I stop talking and Hunk says (in my ear and still on the phone) "Well, it could have been a surprise if you had hung up the phone before you dialed your parents."(Hunk had me on speaker phone because in Cali you can't talk on the phone while driving unless it's handsfree) CRAP! Seriously? Yep, that's how I roll..... Whatever......We laughed, I hung up and really called my parents this time. They rushed out and picked up a cake and ice cream and came over.

When Hunk and my Rugrat pulled up we turned out the lights and yelled surprise...... Why? Because I come from a long line of DORKS and we thought it would be fun to surprise him, even though he knew we were doing it...

Every time I watch him wrestle I can't stay seated. I'm always yellin' and hootin' and hollerin' like a crazy woman. I come home with no voice. I used to laugh at mom's like that.... of course there is A LOT of praying that he doesn't get hurt going on at the same time......and nausea......oh how my tummy tosses and turns......I want to shout "Don't hurt my baby!"........ but he loves it........LOVES it.......it's been great for him.

So I just pray, support and hope for the best.

Hope you all enjoyed your weekend......

Proud Momma here in Cali.

Ciao Bellas~

  1. How great for your son! Congratulations to all of you! Winning is just the icing on the cake ... it is the dedication and work that are what matters the most!

Our boys played basketball in HS. It was so much fun to be there to cheer them on. Like you, I'd often loose my voice!

You and I are dorks together, cause I've often called someone else before hanging up! Yikes!
