MY RUGRAT~ DON'T THINK I'LL EVER GET USED TO THIS!

As many of you know our oldest Rugrat works for us. I know what we do is ELEVATED, I know there are risks, I know if I think about it too long it makes me a bit sick to my tummy....... but when I find photos taken of my Rugrat up on the tower.........well, lets just say my heart still skips a beat......

Be careful Rugrat! You were just 5 years old last week. I was telling you that it was too dangerous to climb a tree. Now you are at the top of a communications tower, HUNDREDS of feet in the air...... sniff.....sniff....

Oh, I think I want to barf..........Just looking down from the view of a photo is too much for me to handle.....especially when I see my Rugrats legs in the photo......

I'm sooooooooooooo afraid of heights. My Rugrat OBVIOUSLY takes after Hunk in this area. I can hardly climb a ladder without getting weak in the knees......

Ok, I can't take any more of this...... I don't think I'm going to sleep tonight. Maybe I should call and tell him he has the next year off...... sigh.......

WAIT! I have Nyquil in there.......I AM still fighting this cold......I think I need some "so I can sleep medicine"

Ciao Bellas~

  1. That was heart-wrenching, heartwarming and heart PUMPING all in one post! The love you have for him, the "letting go" factor and allowing him to grow, and the "oh my gosh look how high up he is" freak out! Handsome guy, by the way.

  6. OMG! That would scare the wits out of me ... but your son seems to handle the situation with ease. I think that is just one of those things that you put in God's hands ...

  7. Now Now it is HIGH but from the pics he looks pretty harnessed so I KNOW safety is a priority and HUNK would NEVER put little HUNK in danger, so think of it that way cous!! but my goodness, that IS living the HIGH LIFE! stay calm and suck down that nyquil! LOL

  8. My son is an F-16 Air Force pilot. I can hardly bear to get on a roller coaster ride at Six Flags, and he flies at Mach 1. I feel your pain--but aren't you so proud you could practically burst your buttons?

  11. An F16 Airforce pilot. OMIGOSH.... Yes I am proud of him. I'm proud that he shows up on time and works his little rear off all day long without complaints. Hunk and I are very proud of him.

So true, kids don't have much fear. From the time he was small he was jumping his dirt bike over out ditch with no hands. Kickin' his feet out in mid air. Built a huge jump in the front pasture flying over that. Got a call from the race track (while we were at bible study) that he wrecked, was knocked out and they thought he may have cracked his ribs and they were worried about a punctured lung and he wanted to have his friend drive him to the hospital because the ambulance ride would cost too much. WHAT?! I said that is why we have insurance get him in the ambulance NOW and we are on our way. He ended up being fine....mostly upset his new riding clothes were cut off of him...... Ah too be young again....

Who am I fooling.....I never was much of a dare devil.....LOL
