COLD MONDAY~ TURNED INTO A MINI SNOWDAY AT THE LAKE

The snow came and then it seemed like just as quickly it left. It is supposed to snow again tonight!

I love that everything is turning green...........

Hello there Mr. Snowman!...... Do you feel some friends coming your way?

What a difference a couple of days make.....

The other day I was on the phone and I looked out my window and this is what I saw.... I grabbed my camera and started snappin'..........

I walked out the back door so I could snap a closer picture...

Busted, they heard me..... Hello little deer friends.......

They don't want to stick around....he turns to run away.......come back, I'll go inside and watch you from there..........
Hopefully I'll have snow photos to post tomorrow! Talk about feeling like Christmas is on it's way.....
It's time to start my baking! Giant Ginger Bread Cookies......mmmm.......YUMMERS!
What is your favorite Holiday treat? I'd love to try some new ideas..... Anyone have a good fudge recipe?
Ciao Bellas~

  1. Wow - the views you have are amazing. So beautiful! They are saying we might get some snow here in Portland, OR, but the sky is totally clear so I doubt it. Oh how I love the snow!

  2. I don't do any cookie making any longer. With four daughters, they all seem to handle it quite well. They all seem to enjoy cooking, so I let them do the baking and I sit back and enjoy their fruits of labor. My Mother has a delicious fudge recipe, I'll try to remember and ask her about it.

Congratulations on your (I believe you said) 5 year cancer survivor. I'm a two time survivor, 13 years ago the right breast, three years ago the left breast. I was very fortunate, it was not in the lymph nodes either time. So I only had to do the radiation treatments, except the second one showed some estrogen factor, I am taking a pill for five years, called Femera.

Good luck with the big Gingerbread cookies.

  3. What a perfect place you have ... with Bambi and friends!!
Makes me feel so cozy just looking at your pics!

We had buckets of rain today and the temperature hovered around 37 degrees ... a few degrees colder and we would have had a blizzard!!

My favorite cookie is my mom's "snowball" cookie ... spme people call it a Russian Tea Cake. Surprise! It is not chocolate. I did try a new recipe this year and when I took cookies to work yesterday, it was the one most people asked the recipe for. It was a butter pecan butterscotch sweet-salty cookie from King Arthur Flour. I gotta tell you it was pretty yummy, too! But again! Not chocolate! What is the deal with me?? I'm usually the chocolate lady!

Post more pics when it snows!!!

  4. Beautiful! Times like that make me wish I had a zoom lense!
Depends on what kind of fudge you're looking for. I have a peanut butter fudge recipe on my site, look under the archives tab at the top of the main page. If you like peanut butter fudge, you'll love this one!!!

  5. Deer are fun to watch from the comfort of your home. Not so much when you're behind the wheel of a car. Yikes! Hope you get snow. We had a blast when it fell here last Friday!

  6. I love holiday baking (a little too much). I don't know what my favorite is. We love the sugar cut out cookies, no bake cookies and peanut butter blossom cookies. Go here (http://janetsmart.blogspot.com/search/label/old%20fashioned%20fudge)and find my mom's recipe for the old fashioned fudge that gets hard. It's easy and delicious!
