PERFECT QUOTE FOR THE DAY

I saw this on a friends Facebook status this morning and thought it was EXACTLY what I needed to hear this morning.

Just in case it was exactly what you needed to hear I wanted to share.......

"Let nothing perturb you, nothing frighten you. All things pass.
God does not change. Patience achieves everything." Quote of Mother Teresa.

It's so easy to let the stresses of life get to us. If we aren't careful they can consume us. Whether it is worrying about our finances, our jobs, our children.......whatever is on our hearts. I think it is important to remember this quote.

Hunk always says "LIKE WATER OFF OF A DUCKS BACK". He is easy to let things go that he has no control over. I tend to fret more. Analyse and try to solve everything. Even when it is something I can't change........I seem think there has to be a way to do it. When the truth is you can only do so much......and you can't control other peoples actions....

I didn't sleep well last night thinking about a few things going on in my little world right now. This morning I woke up thinking about it all. I remembered growing up my dad would say "You can't change stupid". But that didn't work.....made me laugh but not stop fretting..... Then I though that I need to do like Hunk says, let it roll like water off of a ducks back.

While telling myself over and over that this is what I would do...(obviously struggling with doing it) I saw this quote.

I breathed a sighhhhhhhh and said PERFECT.......and I feel much better already.

If you are struggling today with anything I just wanted to give you a big (((((HUG)))) and share this quote with you.

Lets make it a great day together!!!

Ciao Bellas~

  1. Another great quote to keep in mind when worrying takes hold comes from the Bible:

"Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:6-7

    Hugs to you, too, Stephanie!

That is great. So is "You can't change stupid"
I will think of them both today.

  4. LOL O Mom. They both are true in their own way.... even though one doesn't sound so nice.
Hope you are having a great day today! I'm heading to town to get my hair done... I'll probably think of both of those in traffic in the valley. LOL

  5. All great advice - now to just apply them! Best thing I ever learned was that I am the only one I can change so I am to work only on me. I think I will put this one on the fridge - "You can't change stupid." Alpha Hubby says some people are "stupid gone to seed."

  6. Beautiful. Thank you very much for sharing. There's a lot going on around my workplace, and that's just what I needed to hear to deal with it. "You can't fix stupid" applies well to my work place also, though.

  8. LBD- So true. And that is exactly what I did today. I chose my reaction to things carefully so I could look in the mirror and know I did my best at being the best I could be. By the way I told my dad you are going to put the quote he used to say "You can't change stupid" on the fridge, he laughed. I told him he is still helping people. LOL

Mama- Sorry you are having a hard time at the workplace. That makes for a long day. Know that I'm sending hugs and encouragement your way.

Lanette- I've not heard of that book. I hope it helps you. I enjoyed getting my hair done, though I still see some gray! It's so stubborn, darnit. I hope you had a less stressful day. Love you cous'.
