COME ALONG ON MY DAILY DRIVE.....

We have two of these gates to go through......if only I had a gate opener....I'm thinking solar powered opener.........Oh how I wish....It's on "The list"

In the mean time........I have her....

And look at that smile......

And she closes it too..... I didn't even have to push a button...

And after going thru the gates you look to the left and see this......

and this.......

And follow the yellow brick road......or dirt road.....a girl can dream..

And look to the right.......

Broken trees.........crazy wind........but does make more than enough firewood...

And look up.........but not for too long....

or you might go into a ditch......it happened once........OK......more than once

And then you turn and start heading down the driveway to the house.....

And then you see piles of firewood like this..... Hunk loves to cut up firewood and he loves even more to deliver it to our friends....... We have so much and he has a big heart......

More tree's that have fallen......

Our pump house in the background......my Rugrat laughing at me for taking photos as we drive......

And up ahead is our tank house.......

And then our little metal shed full of all my holiday decorations.....

Rugrat "Mom, take a picture of what I can do with my tongue"..How I love this dorko Rugrat.. she takes after me.....poor thing...

And now you know why everyone says "I'll meet ya at the gate".......we are almost home......

Just a little further....

And our boat........have to pull it out for the winter...... When the snow melts the lake fills up quickly and we don't want the boat taking off over the dam.

Now we are heading down to the house......

Makin' the turn to the house.......the lake looks so brown here. When the water floods in it churns it up and makes everything look yucky for a few of days...

And we are finally home...... "The Barn House".......
Come on in..........sit awhile......
Ciao Bellas~

  3. That was a neat "little" drive - I LOVE IT. So peaceful. We're looking to do a barn house on our (soon to be purchased) property while building the "real" house too - I like your style. I like everything about your home & land. Can I come live in your pump house???

  4. Love, love, love your property! Rolling hills and scrubby oak trees, my dream land. You've got lots and lots of good BBQ wood, good thing you have someone to cut it or it would all go to waste! Wish we could get some oak down here, but we've only got access to eucalyptus. Oh well. Thanks for sharing, this took me on a little day dream.

  6. O Mom- THANK YOU! I was stopped by cattle this morning. Cows just stared me down, didn't feel the need to move for a bit. LOL

LBD- How exciting for you! Congratulations!! I'll get the pump house ready for ya. =)

Mama H- eucalyptus burns hot doesn't it? But Oak burns longer........if what I've heard (remember hearing) Hunk talking about in the past is right... If you were closer we have plenty.......I'm a good sharer.(is that a word?) =)
