My Facebook Page Blew up from this Post

This totally throws me under the bus BUT.....

My nephew reads stories at school (1st grade) and he has to explain how he relates to the story.  Our trip to Maui last summer I got knocked down by a wave (some of you may remember the video....I'll share again)....  So when my sweet little, adorable, love him so much I can't stand it, nephew was asked and recorded by my sister last night, how this story related to him, this is what he said.... (and she sent to it me).....  Keep in mind a story last year reminded him of this too and he told the story to his class last year.  My sister was working in the class when it was time to share the story..... She by the way was laughing to hard she was crying....

So here is last night's video... (Please remember to scroll down on the right hand side of the page and pause the music to hear the video)

Now what is he talking about?  Well, my sister got that on video too.  In fact I posted about it after it had happened.  For those of you who don't remember OR who just feel like a good laugh (at my expense) today click here to watch.   I have to also say on my sisters behalf that she hates that she said OMG in the video she would want me to tell you that.

What I would like to point out is the my little sister BLESS HER HEART was laughing in both videos that she taped...  She just felt so sorry for me...

Have a great day!

Maui, Hawaii...Day 6 {PART TWO}

Hunk is on the Lanai, deep in thought. ......
OR
is he just enjoying the view?

I'd say it's the view.  Every morning we sit on the lanai, drink our coffee and enjoy this view.  We usually say something like "man.....this place just sucks eggs!  Maybe we should stay here until it doesn't suck eggs anymore...."

Today was a fun day!  I didn't take my camera with us (darn) but we all went to black rock and went snorkeling.  It was so much fun!  Hunk and I were holding hands as I let him guide me around some coral and look at some beautiful colored fish.  It was feeling like a 2nd honeymoon until I felt a sharp pain on my leg.  It felt like I had been bit by something!  I whipped around with all the panic of a person being attacked by a shark and what did I find.  My rugrat daughter had hit me with her flipper!  Those things hurt.  Soooo teh romantic honeymoon moment was gone with one kick of a flipper and the rugrats we claim as our own gathered around us.  BUT at that moment my heart soared with love for my family and the feeling of being so very blessed that we are fortunate enough to be able to be here and to be snorkeling together as a family.  ALL my children here with me.  It's days like this that I think "If my cancer returns my children will always have this memory"  It's a good thing.........NO, it's a  GREAT thing.

My sister, brother in law and the rugrats kept snorkeling and Hunk and my 17 year old rugrat son took off down the beach.  They had an appointment to go Scuba Diving today.  My oldest Rugrat and his "fiance" have enjoyed it so much that Hunk and my other son decided they needed to try it out.

After snorkeling we decided we were starving... I know this is a shock to you all because I usually have to force myself to stop eating eat anything, but I was hungry enough to start spearing fish and making my own sushi.

We drove into Lahina and ate at "Bubba Gumps".  It was good but not great.  Usually I love it.  Maybe it had to do with oldest rugrat excusing himself to the bathroom and then not returning forever!  I sent my brother in law in to the bathroom to see if he was ok.  Thoughts of a panic stricken mom start going through my head.  What if one of the locals got mad at him and beat him up.  What if he is in there sick.  What if someone kidnapped him.  My heart starts racing (yes I am a spaz).  Then I see my brother in law start walking outside...obviously my son is not in the bathroom.  I panic.  My brother inlaw comes back empty handed.  He says he didn't see him.  I throw down my credit card and announce to the rugrats, when the bill comes give them this.  I take off outside.  I must have looked like a crazed woman and I hear "MOM".  I turn around as if I am going to have to pounce and fight for his return and there he is.....ON THE PHONE OUTSIDE.  I do what any good mom would do and I walk over and say "Thanks allot! You scared the CRAP OUT OF ME!"  Of course with a smile on my face. NOT!  Then I realize he is in deep conversation.  Again, my mind goes.  Wow, what if something bad is happening at home.

I return to my seat at the table and announce he is on the phone outside.  I take deep breaths and then my brother in law tells me about his trip to the bathroom to see if he was ok.  I guess he went in and spoke (to a bathroom stall door) "Hey, you okay?"  My son (or so he thought) said "Yes."  So my brother in law who is much like my Hunk starts shaking the stall door on my son...only it wasn't my son..... and the man in the stall starts yelling "Go away man! I don't know you!"....  HA HA HA HAHA..... only to our family.

So my son......he was on the phone with his future father in law talking to him about the fact that he was going to ask his daughter to marry him that evening.  I wonder if he heard his daughters crazed future mother in law freaking out on the poor boy about not telling him if he is going to go use the phone.  WELCOME TO THE FAMILY!  ha ha

So we did a little shopping and then met back up with Hunk and my rugrat and got all the scoop on the Scuba dive.  They loved it!  My oldest son and his girlfriend took off down to the beach (where he was asking her to marry him at sunset) and we headed down to the pool.  A bit later we see them heading up hand in hand, her on the phone and huge smiles.  They were so excited.  She kept saying she needed to calm down that she was so excited that her heart was about to pound out of her chest.  This made my heart soar.  You could see the love that she has for my son and that makes any mom feel good.

After the pool we headed back up to the condo so my rugrat daughter could put on her famous show (that she does every time we go on vacation)  "The Amazing Franswaw" sock puppet show!  Below are the photos from her show.    We all gathered around in the living room and watched, laughed and again I felt so blessed for everything and everyone I have in my life.  I only wish my parents could have been here.  They would have loved the show!

And the flower goes to........

My nephew!  Who is Frenswaw's biggest fan.  He belly laughs so much during her shows.

She is looking for more props! LOL

Hunk breaks out the ice cream bars for intermission.  Even during a show as entertaining as this one.....it's still all about the food.

Frenswaw has a new master now.  My nephew has decided to try his hand at it.....but will not give up the ice cream bar. LOL

In fact, Frenswaw has now been replaced with the ice cream bar.

And that my friends was the end of our beautiful 6th day on Maui.

I highly recommend a puppet show by the Rugrats as a top ten way to end your day.

Aloha!

Maui, Hawaii - Day 5

My youngest Rugrat looking b-e-a-utiful!  We had a great day today.  My brother in law flew in to join us today.  We went in to Lahina today and had lunch at Cool Cats.  They have the best burgers around!  Then the rugrats wanted to come back to the condo and my little sis wanted to head back to meet up with her hubby (my brother in law who flew in) so I took them back while Hunk sat and watched the Nascar Busch race in Lahina.  I picked up my oldest rugrat and his girlfriend and we headed back to Lahina.  They had gone Scuba diving (again).  Once we got back to Lahnia I met up with Hunk and watched some of the race and then we walked around for awhile.  It was a great day!

My brother in law and my oldest Rugrat laughing it up back at the condo.

This is a photo as the sun was starting to set (from the Lanai).  It is even more beautiful in person.

These are some of the crazy trees in Lahina.  I can't remember the name of them but they are sooooooo cool!

Some of the kids are playing "Tarzan" on the trees.

Hunk and I were walking around Lahina and I couldn't help but stop and take a photo of the water.  It is with my phone so it doesn't do it justice AT ALL but I could get used to this!  Do I have to go back to the mainland? sigh......

Sorry.......I just had to share (no I didn't buy it...I was afraid of the affect it would have on Hunk, and a girl needs her sleep, even in Maui)

Again, awful cell phone pictures but I just had to share the fun we have in the evening on the Lanai.  This is of Hunk and my oldest Rugrat.  I LOVE seeing them laugh together!

My little sis, my hunk and my brother from another mother.

Another day in Paradise in the books.  I love my life and I love sharing it with you all!

Hope you are enjoying the photos and updates.

Aloha!

Maui, Hawaii - Day 4

We had this great plan to take photos of us BEFORE all the baking in the sun and then again AFTER.  Will we look like Hawaiian natives after a month?

My rugrat daughters and my little nephew are in the photos above..

My oldest Rugrat and his girlfriend, but they are only here for a week.....sniff...sniff...

Ok, I apologize NOW for the next photo....

And............ ME........  Lord have mercy on your eyes.  And could I squint mine anymore?  Why do I always do that.  I smile so big you can hardly see my eyes.  whateve....
I'm getting ready to hit the pool (to catch some rays) and I wasn't going to post a photo of myself but I'm all about keepin it real.  And this is ALL REAL BABY.....HA...........No make up, no hair styling, not a thing....I'm so not getting dolled up to jump in the pool or the ocean.  And in effort to keep my blog real, you get to see it all. LOL  You lucky peeps.

Today was pretty low key.......OK.....VERY low key.  We just went to the pool here at the condo, worked on our tan and the smiles on the rugrats faces made me feel like I was MOTHER OF THE YEAR...... crazy how much happiness the pool can bring!

My brother in law arrives tomorrow...... we will be kickin it up a notch soon!

Aloha!

Maui, Hawaii... Day 3

Day 3 we started at the beach. Here is our youngest Rugrat before jumping in and snorkeling. OF COURSE we forgot all the snorkel/beach stuff so when our son said he wanted to go back to the condo to change into his swim trunks we quickly "text" him a list. What did we do before cell phones and texting? It is so convenient but truth be told sometimes it does take away from being able to relax.

In this case it was helpful!

Two snorkel girls. My oldest Rugrat daughter and my oldest Rugrat son's girlfriend.
The water is so warm it is nice and we saw some pretty fish and an eel.

Here are my two Rugrat sons. I love them so much! We are eating lunch and Hula Grill. As you can see it is VERY casual. We sat in "The Sand Bar". It is my favorite place to eat here (for casual dining). There is usually one to two people who are playing/singing Hawaiian music and the tables are in the sand, so you can kick your shoes off and relax (and bury) your feet in the sand. They also have great Mai Tai's. Did I mention happy hour is from 3-5?

Just realized I sound like a LUSH! Truth is I don't drink very often at all but the fresh fruit juice in the Mai Tai and the pineapple slice is just hard to beat.

There is the kids table.... We couldn't all fit at one table in the sandbar so they sat us next to each other at two tables.

At the end of the day the kids and myself ended up in my and Hunk's bedroom talking about all the fun things we have done so far and all the fun things we plan to do. As you can see I had my PJ's on and am in need of a pedicure in the worst way.
By the way......Pedicure is high on the list of things I plan to do......it's right next to massage.

Of course, just like every morning begins with coffee on the lanai, every night ends sitting out here and watching the sunset on the ocean.

Many of my photos have been from my cell phone, so they aren't good quality but I will start using my "real" camera more. I get in the habit of not taking it with me because I'm here with my sister who is a professional photographer so I plan to get copies of all her photos after she edits them.

If she could just edit them enough so that I have arms instead of larms........oh and ONE chin would be much appreciated too. I know she can't edit THAT much of the photo.......but I'm just sayin'......it would be appreciated if she could figure that out......

Or I could keep on my diet train (which by the way is very very hard to do here) and eventually my larms will become arms and my 1 1/2 (okay TWO) chins would become one...... Editing seems so much easier......

Again...... I'm just sayin'.....

Aloha Day 3.

Maui, Hawaii Day Two

Hunk thought it would be a wonderful idea to put his (wonderful smelling) foot in our Rugrat daughters face while she played her DSI. I guess this is the price she had to pay in order to sit on the Lanai with us while we drank our morning coffee.

One question....... Do men ever really grow up?...... Am I hearing you all shouting "NO" at the computer? That's what I was afraid of........ha

So in order to keep from spending WAY TOO MUCH money my sister and I headed to Costco to stock up the fridge and cabinets. We ended up finding a great fruit stand, ran into Kmart for a few items and finally Costco opened.

Hunk took all the kids down to Whalers Village and they had breakfast there.

My Sis and I grabbed McDonald's and hurried back to start our "vacation"...

After making the tough decision of what to do our first FULL day on Maui we came up with RELAX AT THE POOL. This is one of our very favorite things to do here. This is my nephew getting his life vest (love vest.....don't ask) on, he wears this when he is swimming in the deep end of the pool. He LOVES it.. (not)...

We decided to start working on our Maui tans ASAP. We only have a month to burn ourselves.. I mean.....to become the bronzed babes that we know we are (until we look in the mirror.....seriously.....if only the mirror could match my mind after about 5 Mai Tai's..)

Isn't she adorable? This is my oldest Rugrats girlfriend. We took this photo to send to her Momma. Her and my son decided they were going to hit the ground running and they went Scuba diving. They had a BLAST! It started out with a lesson in the pool, showing them HOW to Scuba Dive and then they moved to the ocean.

I think if my Rugrat could be would become certified and do this all the time.

Even...........even...........even.........after THIS....

Jelly fish attack..... Okay, so probably didn't ATTACK him but it did GET him... Swollen and red but he is still so excited about his dive that he doesn't mind....TOO MUCH.

Me? I'm a bit freaked out about it. I was thinking of going Scuba diving. In fact I "THINK" about going Scuba diving every time we come here. Why I never think about it at home in California is beyond me.... but when we come here, well, I think maybe I should try it..

Maybe...

Maybe.....

Sigh.... time will tell....

Aloha to day two.

PS. I have another CSN giveaway coming soon!

MAUI FOR A MONTH~ DAY ONE

My little sister lives in Colorado and we live in California. We flew in to Los Angeles, CA and met up to take our plane ride together into Maui, Hawaii. It was Hunk, all four of my Rugrats, My oldest Rugrats girlfriend, my little sister and my nephew.

My sister and I took this photo with my phone at the airport in Los Angeles. We were so excited that we get to have this time together and on Maui to boot that we were giddy. Cracking ourselves up every time we were trying to take a photo.

And.........this was one of the photos of we snapped. We were trying to smile and take a good photo but we couldn't hold it together.

We finally got loaded up on the plane (by the way, Hunk tried to get upgraded to first class so he didn't have to sit with all of us! HA HA).... We were all sitting together (lucky flight attendants....). We did get to watch movies on the way over which was fun. My sister and I ended up talking so much that we only watched one movie though.

The time changed (3 hours behind for me, 4 hours behind for my sister) so when we arrived in Maui at about 8:30 at night we were EXHAUSTED.... But still soooooo dang excited! We went and got our rental van and then headed to the Condo.

And went to bed. Because of the time change we were up bright and early. We grabbed our coffee cups and headed to the Lanai......

This is our view from the Lanai. Again, it is a photo with my cell phone, so it doesn't do it justice. Everything looks so far away in this photo but the view is beautiful. You can see the ocean, all the palm trees and it is soooooo relaxing.

I wonder if a month will be long enough..... It's already going too quickly!

Aloha!
