HUMP DAY.........ENJOY
It's pouring down rain..... I MISS THE BEACH......
I'm off this morning to take my Rugrat to her very first Orthodontist appointment. They are going to check her out for some braces.......And oddly enough she is very excited about it. LOL
I on the other hand..........not so much. We don't have dental insurance and I just got a root canal yesterday.......by the way, MY FACE STILL HURTS.....(Advil helps though, took some with my coffee this morning)
I sooooooooo have to run out the door. (and be careful not to run into a bunk bed or extra sofa or bag full of towels or something else that we brought back from the beach house that is STILL all over my house) I'm so posting photos of it tonight.....(mortified by how my house looks so why not post it all for the world to see?).......yep, that's how I roll......SPILLIN' THE BEANS ON MYSELF!
Have a great day friends! Stay dry and enjoy HUMP DAY!

HUNK LEFT ME............FOR TEXAS
Labels:

My (heart) Hunk flew off and left me for “Texas” this week. He is over there for training for work. I’m ready for him to come home already! But with him being gone it’s project time around here. This week I have my hands FULL. With selling our beach house my home already looks like A tornado came through here and left a bunch of (crap) furniture and things behind.
I’ve started on the girls room already and I’ll be putting some photos up of that as we finish. I have on large moving box full of the girls clothes that no longer fit them. I am (mortified) embarrassed to say how many bags of crap trash were taken out. Under the bed alone….. No wonder my oldest daughter, who is so organized gets so upset at her (slob of a sister) younger sister all the time.
Good news is some of the furniture we had over there is better than the furniture I have in our home so I’m excited to change those things out. Lots of embarrassing photos will be coming your way. As soon as I can find my camera! (I’m not even kidding, it’s like a maze, with dead ends, trying to get anywhere in my home right now).
Today I’ll be (crying like a baby) getting a root canal so I won’t be able to work on anything until this afternoon…..
I’ll keep ya posted!

BACK FROM THE BEACH!!

My crazy Rugrat daughters on the front porch of our beach house. Well, it's ours until Friday, then it belongs to a 73 year old grandmother. sniff.....sniff.....It is so nice to have a photographer for a sister...... although because of it, I didn't take my camera out even one time! I'm now at her mercy and snaggin' her pictures as she has them ready. But they are so beautiful that it is well worth the wait!
Hard to believe two days later it was raining. The water is usually so cold and it really wasn't that bad this time.
Hunk and I took the girls into a "swimsuit store" and let them pick out new swimsuits. They had to come out and get "Daddy approval" before purchase. I couldn't believe how LOW CUT some of the tops were.....For 10 and 11 year old's......maybe not....
It was a wonderful trip. So beautiful and so much fun spending time with family. Until the last day you couldn't beat the weather we were having. Some days I think I wish I didn't live in California and other days I'm grateful that I do. Guess it depends on the day and what is going on........
One thing I am always grateful for are these Rugrats. They were having a blast. My girls and my sweet little nephew. They were enjoying their "cousin time". Unfortunately, they don't get to spend much time together with us being in California and my sister and her family being in Colorado.I miss them so much!
Just got this pictures from my sister tonight so I wanted to share them with you as soon as I got them! There will be more to come.....
My CRAZY Little Sis took OVER TWO THOUSAND PHOTOS! I'll post more as soon as I get them!
Miss you all!

BEACH TIME WITH THE FAMILY

My Rugrats are out of school this week and Hunk and I are at the beach. My little sister flew in from Colorado and my parents are over here with us too!
We own a home here on the beach in the Central Coast of California, but we've had it on the market and it is now in escrow. (bitter-sweet) We thought we would come have one last family vacation here this week.
We spent the day today down on the beach and since my sister is a professional photographer rest assured I will have lots of very fun photo's to share with you all.
My 5 year old nephew hasn't seen the ocean since he was 8 months old. Living in Colorado they don't get to the beach very often. I'm having a great time visiting with my family.
We took the girls swimsuit shopping today and they wore them out of the store and straight to the ocean........of course I ended up walking back to one of the shops and buying towels....we were not prepared to get in the water at all. Tomorrow, we will be!
I hope you are all having a wonderful week!!!!!
Photos to come!

MOVIE MAKING AT OUR HOME.

I made the lovely beard for them with hopes that from AFAR it would look ok...... a bit curly but all I could find was DOLL HAIR.....
As you can see "WILSON" is on the front of the canoe. (I found that ball with the blood hand print ......made into Wilson's Face........on it at Sports Authority)
Yes, there was screaming of "Wilson.......Wilson...........oh no Wilson...." in a tearful .....spanish accent voice. YES, WILSON WAS RETRIEVED.
I just love watching my Rugrats and their friends. Hunk and I have always liked to make our place welcoming for our Rugrats friends. It's a great way to really get to know their friends. That's one of the reasons why we allow our son to have a "pow wow" camp out's in our meadow every month and a big Super Bowl party with all of his wrestler friends (and their families were invited as well)......which Hunk and I had so much fun at......
In the blink of an eye this time will be gone. I want to make many happy memories for my Rugrats. I love them so much sometimes that it hurts.
Although, when they try to slack off on homework and my head spins around a few times, my eyes pop out and I look like a (scary) cartoon character. ....including the smoke coming out of my ears....I'm not sure how happy those memories are......
That will probably give them something to go talk to Dr. Phil or Oprah about..... My real goal was to not have them on Jerry Springer.....
Let's hope I succeed.....
LOVE MY RUGRATS AND THEIR RUGRAT FRIENDS.......My only wish is that they didn't grow up so quickly.......

WHAT EVERYONE WISHES THEY COULD WAKE UP TO

This precious little Rugrat was up late doing some homework. I went in to watch some TV and ended up falling asleep.......Before going to bed she did this........
I woke up and went to start my coffee and I passed this on the carpet. I thought, darn Rugrats leave stuff wherever they feel like dropping it..ughhhhh..most parents are shouting out a big AMEN right now...... (most times this would have been the case)

But as I got closer this is what I found.......... It was a note from my up late doing homework Rugrat.....
It says: (we need to work on spelling but it melted my heart that she did this)
IF YOU ARE WONDERING WHY THE TOWEL IS HEAR. IT'S CAUSE I CLEANED UP DOG PEE SO IF THEAR IS ENEYTHING LEFT BEFORE I GET WOKEN UP PLEASE GET IT DONE AND I PUT THE CARPET STUFF ON IT SO IF THEIR IS WHITE DONT WORRY CAUSE I GOT IT DOWN.

This is Nestlie........ Nestlie is responsible for the dog pee. She is getting old and has a hard time getting around. There was a time she would have NEVER EVER DREAMED of going pee in the house, in fact she wouldn't go anywhere around the house. She always took off into the field to go.
Now........now she sees the carpet as the perfect spot to hobble over to, go pee and then lay down.....
It's tough to see her getting old. She is so happy when she is spending time with us and the Rugrats, it will hurt when she is no longer with us......
Our Rugrats love Nestlie very much and I'm so proud of them for jumping in and helping take care of our old friend.
I just had to share....

PERFECT QUOTE FOR THE DAY
Labels:
General Gabbing
I saw this on a friends Facebook status this morning and thought it was EXACTLY what I needed to hear this morning.
Just in case it was exactly what you needed to hear I wanted to share.......
"Let nothing perturb you, nothing frighten you. All things pass.
God does not change. Patience achieves everything." Quote of Mother Teresa.
It's so easy to let the stresses of life get to us. If we aren't careful they can consume us. Whether it is worrying about our finances, our jobs, our children.......whatever is on our hearts. I think it is important to remember this quote.
Hunk always says "LIKE WATER OFF OF A DUCKS BACK". He is easy to let things go that he has no control over. I tend to fret more. Analyse and try to solve everything. Even when it is something I can't change........I seem think there has to be a way to do it. When the truth is you can only do so much......and you can't control other peoples actions....
I didn't sleep well last night thinking about a few things going on in my little world right now. This morning I woke up thinking about it all. I remembered growing up my dad would say "You can't change stupid". But that didn't work.....made me laugh but not stop fretting..... Then I though that I need to do like Hunk says, let it roll like water off of a ducks back.
While telling myself over and over that this is what I would do...(obviously struggling with doing it) I saw this quote.
I breathed a sighhhhhhhh and said PERFECT.......and I feel much better already.
If you are struggling today with anything I just wanted to give you a big (((((HUG)))) and share this quote with you.
Lets make it a great day together!!!
