HOLLYWOOD DANCE~ JUNIOR HIGH LIMO RIDE

My Rugrat daughter and her friend got ready for their dance together. Her momma brought over some pizza for the girls to eat and of course they both ate AFTER they got ready so we were stressin' out with constant "be careful, don't drop any one you, use the paper towel"

Of course they had it alllllllllll under control......just ask them...

And I guess they did.......... neither of them got anything on their dresses.....

We had them go stand out in the from yard for a few photos before we left to go meet up with the Limo......of course little brother wanted in the photo's.......little cutie

If he was a big older I think he could pass as their body guard.......

And this is what you get when you tell them to strike a silly pose.

Beauty Queens! They are growing up way too fast........sniff.....sniff.....

And we are waiting for the Limo. My rugrat daughter invited about 15 friends to ride in the limo so we all met at the church in our little community. Living in the mountain area if we had that limo pick each child up not only would it have taken forever they probably would have needed 4 wheel drive and some excellent "backing up skills".

And the first boy has arrived..........

And here comes the fun ride........

Us parent's were snappin' pictures but so were the kids..... I'm not sure who had more fun at this point, us or them....... They were so cute to listen to.

And they are getting in and gettin ready to have some sparkling cider......I poured and of course spilled on one of the girls!.......Can you say "Way to go MOTHER?".... Thank goodness she was gracious and tried to make me feel like she didn't mind that her foot would be sticky all night thanks to me.

Some of the smaller siblings jumped in to check it out......You can see "The body guard".......little brother's......knees..... =)

And a few more of the girls have arrived..... The adorable one on the right with the red dress had no idea that I would be spilling Sparkling Cider on her in just a few minutes....

They are almost all here so we have them stand for a pose before they load up and head for the school........

Yes, you do see a MOM HAND....... That is one of my BFF's Kristin. Three of us mom's (chaperone's) sat way in the back and pretended we didn't exist while watching every move....LOL.... A few reasons for the ride.

1. Would be fun.

2. Wanted to make sure ALL children made it into the dance.

3. Wanted to make sure everyone behaved in the limo.

And we made it to the school....... Let's hope they all get out without falling.....

Look at Mr. Kewl....... I love the hat and sunglasses. The theme for the dance was "Hollywood" and I think he pulled it of perfectly! He's adorable!

I LOVE these kids so much. Such a great group of kids. I'm so blessed living in this community. There are so absolutely wonderful families that live here.

How adorable is he? I like his mom just a little too......=)

And here comes my rugrat daughter and one of her BFF friends(who is a boy, not boyfriend) they had been planning silly things to do all week. He was going to bring his Hollywood glasses, so of course when they got out I told them to strike a pose........and of course they did.......

So cute! She is one of the sweetest girls you could meet......so is her mother......such a great family.....

Mr. "R" fixin his shirt. Love this boy and love love love his family...... His momma and daddy went to dinner with Hunk and I and we already decided on an arranged marriage down the road....... We'll fill them in on it later..... ha ha

Can you say adorable!?! And they don't come any sweeter either.....such good hearts in these girls......

And a couple of the older girls....... I teased them cuz they usually have on their jeans and are all about sports..... I said "Wow, don't you girls look sexy" So they had to strike their pose.......before they kicked any boys butt who acted inappropriately in any way.....

And then us girls jumped back into the Limo and went back and picked up our husbands. The driver stocked the limo with Champagne and we all went to dinner. A few more of our other friends met us at the restaurant.

We had an absolute blast. It was so much fun getting to have time for us parents to relax and get together while all of our Rugrats were together having a good time.

I know I keep saying this but.........I'll say it again...

Hunk and I are so blessed to have such wonderful friends.......

The driver cleared the Champagne and restocked with more Sparkling Cider and us ladies decided to hand over our duties to the men and a few of them went in the limo to go pick up all the kids from the dance...

And they are back..........

And there are OUR HUNKS.... Our men of Integrity.....sounds sappy, but I couldn't be more serious.....Good family men.

They survived............

I think my Rugrat is tired.....and cold.......

The limo driver asked if we are getting a limo for a Junior High dance what are we doing to do in High School...........rent a helicopter......?

No........not even close. This is something Hunk and I have done over the years with our older boys. When they were Junior High age we rented limos for graduation trips with the school, for a field trip. YEARS later their friends come up to us and tell us how memorable it was for them, how much fun they had.

That is what life is all about. Making memories, having fun. Plenty of memories can be made WITOUT Limo rides. In fact many of the most special memories don't cost a penny and we make those daily........but sometimes it's fun to do something a little extra special. And this is "our thing" that we like to do for the kids. It's not for show, it's for FUN. And let me be the first to promise you, if ANY of our children wanted to do it for a SHOW thing and not a FUN thing to do and share with friends......they would be taking a bike to the dance......that's if we even let them attend....

We are going to make a few more fun memories this morning cuz we are going over to Grandma's house for some homemade CHOCOLATE GRAVY AND BUSCUITS!
